Heather Scholl studied fine art and illustration at the University of Kansas, and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1993. She started her art career in Seattle, Washington, where she worked as an fine artist and illustrator while teaching various classes at Cornish College of the Arts. In 2000, Heather left Seattle to travel through Asia and Australia. During that time she had a year-long stint in Seoul, South Korea, where she taught art and English. In 2002, she relocated to Los Angeles, California, where she currently lives and works from her studio.
Heather's notably distinctive style has been described as dreamy, ethereal, hopeful and visceral, with an awareness of the social and political zeitgeist.
